It is frustrating to see one rate, and then be charged another rate. If this bothers you, I agree. My provider charges $180/year, but I pay about $205 for the year. This is an additional $25 for the year’s service. The rationale of this is taxes and fees. If I was to have my own phone service, these fees will be included. Even if I had to increase the voice plan to compensate, I am sure the customer will be OK for a $15 voice plan than a $10 voice plan + fees/taxes.
