Even if I was wealthy enough to acquire my own MVNO (Mobile Virtual Network Operator), I will not need something complicated. And with unified voiccmeial, it would just encourage me to push all of my telephone numbers to PCS1. The plan will be as follows:
$10 – VOIP Plan (412)
$5 – Incoming Fax (724)
$10 – Voicemail Toll-Free Number (855)
$25 – 4G Plan (878)
$10 – Caller ID+
$5 – Send Fax
$65 – Total
I have noted the area codes only because the last 7 digits of the number will be the same. For the VOIP line, I will use a Wifi Phone such as the Grandstream WP825 for my home phone line. This will connect my home phone without the need for a DECT access point. The incoming fax line will have the faxes intercepted, converted into a .pdf file, and emailed to me. As you can see, I will also have Send Fax which I will send the email I wish to send via an email address. My Send Fax service will only accept .pdf files for simplicity’s sake.
The toll-free number will be a voicemail only number. This is simple, and to the point. It will use the same voicemail box as my 412 number so there is only 1 box to check. Likewise, the voicemail for the 4G Plan cellular line will use this exact same voicemail box for all of my incoming calls. This will mean one single voicemail for everything. To check voicemail from a VOIP line, I will dial *86. To check from a cellular line, I will press and hold down the 1 key.
I will have Caller ID+. I don’t get many strange calls, but when I do, I will rather be able to see who’s calling me. This will give me some leverage if I was to answer the call of a bad actor. If unknown callers gets to be too much, I will set my phone to where it will send all unknown callers to voicemail. This can be done easily since I will have an iPhone Pro Max.
