Once an account is created, the account holder will be prompted for the option to use an authenticator app. This will allow a second factor in accessing the account. This means that even if a bad actor knows your credentials, they will also need your phone to log in. The service will use an authenticator app which will generate a 6 digit passcode that would have to be entered when logging in with a new device, or a device that hadn’t logged in for a month.

This will assure that a would be bad actor can’t just access the account, and therefore makes it a more secured account. While providing a 6 digit code from an app that you would have to check with your phone might be a little inconvenient, it is a lot less inconvenient than having your account hacked.
