Appropriate CNAM

CNAM is the information your phone provider sends to another person so they can see information directly on the CID screen. Most cellular providers will use Wireless Caller as the CNAM information. This is just downright lazy, and with a little programming, they should be able to take the account name, and make that name in the CNAM. This should apply not only to the primary account holder, but the proper name for the secondary account as well. While you the consumer will not see the benefit of this information, the recipient will benefit from this information, especially if your number is not in their contacts.

However, there might be an instance where the customer would not want their CNAM displayed. With that being said, the customer can elect to identify as “Wireless Caller” if that is something they would want. They will just into their control panel, and make the changes there.
