This feature can be turned on or off dependent on the customer. Call Waiting will send a tone in your phone for when a call comes in while you are on another call. You can see the Caller ID of the new caller, and decide if you wish to put the current call on hold while you address the second caller. Some people may not like this feature (I included), so it can be turned off.
